简介
The SCN3B protein critically affects sodium channel dynamics, inducing unique sustained currents and slower inactivation rates compared to beta-1. Its interaction with NFASC is shown to guide sodium channels to the nodes of Ranvier during axonal development and retain them in mature myelinated axons. SCN3B Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant human-derived SCN3B protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SCN3B, or sodium channel beta-3 subunit, plays a crucial role in modulating the function of voltage-gated sodium channels, which are essential for the generation and propagation of action potentials in excitable tissues such as neurons and muscle. The beta subunits, including SCN3B, are known to influence channel kinetics, voltage dependence, and the trafficking of alpha subunits to the cellular membrane, thereby significantly affecting neuronal excitability and synaptic transmission. Research into SCN3B has gained attention due to its potential implications in neurodevelopmental disorders, epilepsy, and other neurological conditions. Understanding the structure and function of SCN3B can provide valuable insights into its role in channelopathies and could lead to the identification of therapeutic targets for treating sodium channel-related diseases. Studies involving recombinant SCN3B proteins allow for detailed investigations into the biochemical properties, interactions with alpha subunits, and regulatory mechanisms governing sodium channel function, thereby contributing to the overall knowledge of excitability in the nervous system and its associated pathologies.
