Gene name
FIBP
-
简介
FIBP is an intracellular chaperone of acidic fibroblast growth factor (aFGF) and mediates the mitogenic effects of aFGF, affecting cell types through mitosis and inducing morphological changes and differentiation. This gene expresses two isoforms, showing potential functional diversity. FIBP Protein, Human is the recombinant human-derived FIBP protein, expressed by E. coli , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FIBP, or Fatty Acid-Binding Protein, is a key player in lipid metabolism and transport within cells. The study of FIBP has gained traction due to its essential role in various physiological processes, including energy storage, signal transduction, and cell growth. Research indicates that FIBP may influence metabolic diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disorders by modulating fatty acid availability and utilization. Its ability to bind long-chain fatty acids is critical for cellular functions, impacting membrane structure and function, as well as regulatory pathways. Furthermore, the exploration of FIBP as a potential therapeutic target has prompted the development of recombinant protein production techniques. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce FIBP in various expression systems, enabling detailed structural and functional analyses. This facilitates the understanding of its binding mechanisms and interactions with lipids and proteins, potentially leading to novel interventions for metabolic disorders. Overall, the investigation of FIBP and its recombinant forms is crucial for unraveling the intricacies of lipid metabolism and its implications in health and disease.
