简介
Hemopexin Protein, with its heme-binding ability, acts as a transporter, facilitating heme transport to the liver. In the liver, heme is broken down, and the recovered iron is utilized. The liberated hemopexin protein then returns to circulation, underscoring its vital role in efficiently managing heme and iron metabolism in the body. Hemopexin Protein, Rat (His) is the recombinant rat-derived Hemopexin protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Hemopexin (HPX) is a glycoprotein that plays a pivotal role in heme metabolism and iron homeostasis. It is primarily synthesized in the liver and functions to bind free heme in the bloodstream, facilitating its transport to the liver for recycling and preventing oxidative damage. Research has shown that HPX also has anti-inflammatory properties and may be involved in various pathological conditions, including anemia, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. Given its critical functions and potential therapeutic applications, recombinant HPX (rHPX) has become a focal point of investigation. The production of rHPX allows for detailed studies into its structural and functional characteristics, enabling researchers to explore its role in heme-related disorders. Moreover, rHPX may serve as a promising candidate for therapeutic interventions to mitigate the consequences of excessive free heme, such as tissue damage and inflammation. Recent advancements in biotechnology have facilitated the efficient expression and purification of rHPX, paving the way for preclinical and clinical studies that could unlock new avenues for treating diseases associated with heme imbalance. Understanding the intricate mechanisms by which rHPX functions could lead to novel strategies for managing conditions ranging from hemolytic anemia to severe inflammatory responses, emphasizing the importance of continued research in this area.
