  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

L1R recombinants, derived from the long interspersed nuclear elements (LINE-1 or L1), represent a significant focus in molecular biology and genetic research due to their unique ability to replicate and integrate into the genome. LINE-1 elements are among the few autonomous retrotransposons in humans, accounting for approximately 20% of the human genome. Their activity plays a crucial role in genomic evolution, providing a mechanism for genetic variability, but can also lead to insertional mutagenesis and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Research into L1R recombinants aims to unravel the complexities of their mobilization, regulation, and impact on genomic stability. Additionally, understanding their functional dynamics can shed light on mechanisms of gene regulation, epigenetics, and the evolution of mammalian genomes. The potential applications of L1R in gene therapy and biotechnology further emphasize the importance of deciphering their properties and interactions with host cellular machinery. Through advanced techniques in molecular genetics and bioinformatics, scientists are progressively characterizing L1R's contributions to human health and disease, offering insights into the evolutionary significance of transposable elements and their potential exploitation in therapeutic contexts.
