Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The SEZ6/BSRP-C protein, a member of the seizure protein family, plays a crucial role in neuronal function and cell signaling. Research has increasingly focused on this protein due to its association with neurological disorders, particularly epilepsy. Alterations in SEZ6 expression and function have been linked to excitatory neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity, impacting the overall excitability of neurons. Studies suggest that variations in the SEZ6 gene may contribute to the susceptibility to seizures and other cognitive impairments. Given the rising incidence of epilepsy worldwide, understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying SEZ6's role in neural circuits is imperative. Investigating SEZ6/BSRP-C's structure and interactions could unveil potential therapeutic targets for treating seizures and related neurological conditions. Furthermore, its involvement in neuronal development and synaptic connections highlights the importance of this protein in maintaining proper brain function. As a result, ongoing research aims to characterize this protein's biochemical properties, decipher its signaling pathways, and elucidate its function within the central nervous system, which could pave the way for innovative treatment strategies for epilepsy and enhance our understanding of neurodevelopmental disorders.
