Gene name
ZWINT/ZW10 interactor

简介
ZWINT, a vital MIS12 complex component, is essential for kinetochore and spindle checkpoint activity. It plays a pivotal role in ZW10 targeting to the kinetochore in prometaphase, forming interactions with ZW10, MIS12, and NDC80 subunit of the NDC80 complex. ZWINT's engagement with KNL1, CETN3, DSN1, and PMF1 underscores its multifaceted role in orchestrating kinetochore complex assembly and functionality during mitosis. ZWINT/ZW10 interactor Protein, Human (GST) is the recombinant human-derived ZWINT/ZW10 interactor protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of ZWINT/ZW10 interactor (ZWINT) proteins has garnered significant attention in recent years due to their critical role in cellular processes, particularly in the regulation of the mitotic spindle and chromosome segregation during cell division. ZWINT interacts with ZW10, a component of the mitotic checkpoint complex, which ensures proper attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochores. Dysfunction in this interaction has been linked to various cancers, highlighting ZWINT's potential as a biomarker for tumor progression and a target for therapeutic interventions. Additionally, ZWINT has been implicated in the maintenance of genomic stability, and its dysregulation can lead to aneuploidy, further emphasizing the importance of understanding its molecular mechanisms. Thus, researchers are increasingly focused on generating recombinant ZWINT proteins to facilitate in-depth studies of its structure, function, and interactions within the cell. By employing techniques such as protein purification and biochemical assays, scientists aim to elucidate the role of ZWINT in the mitotic process and its potential contributions to cancer biology. This research not only enhances our fundamental understanding of cell division but also opens avenues for the development of targeted therapies aimed at mitigating the effects of aberrant ZWINT function in tumorigenesis.
