Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Kallikrein-4 (KLK4) is a member of the kallikrein family of serine proteases, which play significant roles in various biological processes, including tissue remodeling, inflammation, and cancer progression. Initially identified as a potential biomarker for prostate cancer, KLK4 has garnered attention due to its differential expression patterns in various tissues and its implications in both normal physiology and pathological conditions. Research indicates that KLK4 may contribute to cancer metastasis by degrading extracellular matrix components, thus facilitating tumor invasion. Moreover, its upregulation has been associated with aggressive forms of prostate cancer, making it a target for therapeutic intervention. The recombinant production of KLK4 protein serves essential purposes such as further elucidating its enzymatic activity, understanding its structural properties, and exploring its interactions with substrates and inhibitors. Additionally, recombinant KLK4 can be used in various in vitro studies to investigate its role in cancer biology, providing insights into novel treatment strategies. As researchers continue to unravel the complexities of KLK4's functions, its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target underscores the importance of developing robust methods for producing and studying this protein, paving the way for advancements in cancer diagnostics and treatment.
