简介
PPAP protein, a nonspecific tyrosine phosphatase, has anticancer and antiproliferative activities. The PPAP protein dephosphorylates a variety of substrates under acidic conditions (pH 4-6), resulting in the inactivation of lysophosphatidic acid in seminal plasma. The PPAP protein is also a common biomarker for prostate cancer and can inhibit tumor development. Prostatic acid phosphatase/ACPP Protein, Human (354a.a, HEK293, His, solution) is the recombinant human-derived Prostatic acid phosphatase/ACPP protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP), also known as ACPP (acid phosphatase, prostate), is an enzyme predominantly expressed in the prostate gland, playing a significant role in various physiological processes including the regulation of prostate function and metabolism of phosphate esters. Its elevation is clinically significant, particularly in the context of prostate cancer, where it serves as a biomarker for disease progression and prognosis. Research has increasingly focused on the recombinant production of PAP, which offers several advantages such as the availability of large quantities for characterization and therapeutic application. The recombinant forms of PAP are investigated for their potential in targeted cancer therapies and vaccine development due to their immunogenic properties. Additionally, the enzymatic activity and structural features of recombinant ACPP are studied to understand its biological function and to explore its utility in clinical diagnostics. Overall, the research surrounding recombinant PAP/ACPP is pivotal for advancing prostate cancer diagnostics and therapies, providing insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying prostate health and disease.
