简介
Delta-like protein 4 (DLL4) functions as a Notch ligand and activates NOTCH1 and NOTCH4 in the Notch signaling pathway. It regulates angiogenesis by inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis. Delta-like protein 4/DLL4 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Delta-like protein 4/DLL4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
DLL4 (Delta-like ligand 4) is a critical member of the Notch signaling pathway, which plays a pivotal role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, cell differentiation, and immune responses. Research on DLL4 recombinant protein has gained prominence due to its essential role in endothelial cell biology and angiogenesis. DLL4 is primarily involved in regulating the balance between sprouting and stabilization of blood vessels, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in cancer and other diseases characterized by aberrant angiogenesis. Early studies indicated that DLL4 functions as a ligand for Notch receptors, influencing the fate of neighboring endothelial cells, thereby impacting blood vessel formation and function. Furthermore, DLL4 has been identified as a key factor in the regulation of tumor vasculature, with its expression being associated with poor prognosis in various cancers. Given its significance, scientists have focused on developing DLL4 recombinant proteins to investigate their biological functions and therapeutic potential. These recombinant proteins serve as valuable tools for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying DLL4's role in angiogenesis, as well as for developing DLL4-targeted therapies, including monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. By harnessing DLL4's biological properties, researchers aim to create innovative strategies for treating disorders linked to abnormal blood vessel formation, thereby paving the way for advanced cancer therapies and regenerative medicine approaches.
