Gene name
CD8 alpha
-
简介
CD8 alpha is an important immune glycoprotein that serves as a coreceptor for MHC class I:peptide complexes, linking T cells to antigens presented by APCs. It interacts with TCR and MHC class I, recruits LCK kinase, and initiates multiple signaling pathways. CD8 alpha Protein, Cynomolgus (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant cynomolgus-derived CD8 alpha protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

-
Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized CD8 alpha at 1 μg/mL (100 μL/well) can bind CD8 alpha antibody. The ED50 for this effect is 10.24 ng/mL. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CD8 alpha (CD8α) is an essential co-receptor expressed on cytotoxic T lymphocytes, playing a crucial role in the immune response by enhancing the recognition of antigen-presenting cells and facilitating the activation of T cells. The importance of CD8α in immune surveillance and tumor rejection has prompted extensive research into its structure and function. Understanding CD8α at the molecular level can lead to insights for improving immunotherapeutic strategies, particularly in cancer treatment and viral infections. Recombinant CD8α protein, produced using advanced biotechnology techniques, offers a valuable tool for studying its interactions with MHC I molecules and T cell receptors. Furthermore, this recombinant protein can be utilized in various applications, including vaccine development and as a potential target for monoclonal antibody therapy. Given the growing interest in harnessing the immune system to combat diseases, research on CD8α recombinant protein remains critical for advancing our knowledge of T cell biology and improving therapeutic outcomes in immunotherapy.
