Gene name
Azide-labeled B7-H4
-
简介
The B7-H4 protein acts as a negative regulator and inhibits T cell-mediated immune responses, including activation, proliferation, cytokine production, and cytotoxicity. Significant significance can be observed when expressed on tumor macrophages, cooperating with regulatory T cells (Tregs) to suppress tumor-associated antigen-specific T cell immunity. Azide-labeled B7-H4 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Azide-labeled B7-H4 protein, expressed by HEK293, with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
B7-H4, a member of the B7 family of immune regulatory proteins, has garnered significant attention due to its role in modulating T cell responses and influencing cancer progression. As an immune checkpoint molecule, B7-H4 is often overexpressed in various tumors, contributing to immune evasion and tumor growth by inhibiting T cell activation and promoting T cell exhaustion. Understanding the mechanisms underlying B7-H4’s function is vital for developing targeted immunotherapies. The creation of azide-labeled B7-H4 recombinant protein facilitates advanced studies of its structure and interactions with immune receptors. Utilizing bioorthogonal labeling techniques, researchers can track B7-H4 in cellular and tumor microenvironments, providing insights into its dynamics and therapeutic potential. The azide label allows for specific conjugation with fluorophores or other biomolecules, enabling detailed visualization and functional studies. By mapping the interactions and localization of B7-H4 in various contexts, this research could pave the way for novel strategies to reinvigorate anti-tumor immunity and improve cancer treatment outcomes.
