简介
CD44 is a cell surface receptor that plays a key role in calcium mobilization and actin-mediated cytoskeletal reorganization, cell migration, and adhesion. CD44 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, mFc-Avi) is the recombinant human-derived CD44 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-mFc labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CD44 is a cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cell-cell interactions, cell adhesion, and migration. It is primarily recognized for its involvement in the immune response and is expressed on various cell types, including lymphocytes, fibroblasts, and epithelial cells. CD44 exists in multiple isoforms generated by alternative splicing, which contributes to its diverse biological functions. Research has shown that CD44 is implicated in various pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, inflammation, and tissue repair. Due to its significant role in these processes, CD44 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target. Recombinant CD44 protein has been produced to facilitate detailed studies on its structure-function relationships and to explore its role in disease mechanisms. By generating recombinant CD44, researchers aim to better understand its interactions with hyaluronic acid and other ligands, which can provide insights into its role in tumor progression and inflammatory responses. The availability of recombinant CD44 also opens avenues for the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, including targeted drug delivery systems and immunotherapies. Overall, the investigation of recombinant CD44 proteins presents an exciting research frontier that holds promise for advancing our understanding of CD44's multifaceted roles in health and disease.
