Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Semaphorin-4D (SEMA4D), a member of the semaphorin family of proteins, plays a critical role in regulating cell signaling, tissue development, and immune responses. Originally identified for its involvement in neural development and axon guidance, recent studies have revealed its significance in various pathological conditions, including cancer, autoimmune diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. SEMA4D exerts its effects primarily through binding to receptors such as Plexin-B1, leading to diverse cellular responses including cell migration, apoptosis, and immune modulation. The aberrant expression of SEMA4D has been linked to tumor progression and metastasis, positioning it as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in oncology. The generation of recombinant SEMA4D proteins facilitates in-depth studies of its molecular mechanisms, interactions with other signaling pathways, and effects on immune cell behavior. Researchers are employing these recombinant proteins to explore novel therapeutic strategies that could manipulate SEMA4D signaling for potential clinical applications. Understanding the precise role of SEMA4D in various biological contexts could pave the way for innovative treatments for diseases where SEMA4D is implicated.
