FGFR-3 alpha (IIIc)

简介
The FGFR-3 protein is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor for fibroblast growth factor that is critical for cellular processes, particularly in chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and inner ear development. Its effects span normal skeletal development and postnatal bone mineralization. FGFR-3 alpha (IIIc) Protein, Human (HEK293, His-Avi) is the recombinant human-derived FGFR-3 alpha, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast growth factor receptor 3 (FGFR3) is a significant member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family, playing a crucial role in various biological processes, including bone development and maintenance. Among the various isoforms of FGFR3, FGFR3 alpha (IIIc) is particularly important due to its involvement in a range of pathological conditions, including skeletal dysplasias and certain types of cancer. Mutations in the FGFR3 gene are linked to disorders such as achondroplasia, a common form of dwarfism, while aberrant FGFR3 signaling is implicated in tumorigenesis. The study and characterization of FGFR3 alpha (IIIc) recombinant protein are pivotal for understanding its function and the molecular mechanisms underlying its role in disease. By expressing and purifying this specific isoform, researchers can investigate its ligand binding properties, signaling pathways, and interactions with other cellular components. This knowledge is essential for the development of targeted therapies aimed at correcting the dysregulated pathways related to FGFR3. Additionally, understanding the structural attributes of FGFR3 alpha (IIIc) through advanced techniques like X-ray crystallography or cryo-electron microscopy can provide insights into potential drug design and therapeutic strategies for conditions associated with FGFR3 dysfunction. Overall, the investigation of FGFR3 alpha (IIIc) recombinant protein not only enhances our comprehension of fundamental biological processes but also opens avenues for novel therapeutic interventions in related diseases.
