  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD43, also known as sialophorin, is a heavily glycosylated transmembrane protein predominantly expressed on the surfaces of leukocytes. It plays a crucial role in various immune responses, including cell adhesion, activation, and migration. The unique structure of CD43, characterized by a long extracellular domain rich in sialic acids, imparts a negative charge that influences cell interactions and signaling pathways. Understanding the function of CD43 is vital for elucidating its role in immune regulation and its potential implications in various diseases, including cancer and autoimmune disorders. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of CD43 to investigate its biological functions and protein interactions in detail. By utilizing recombinant DNA technology, researchers can produce large quantities of CD43, allowing for comprehensive biochemical and biophysical analyses, including structural studies and functional assays. This recombinant approach enables the exploration of CD43's role in immunological contexts, as well as its potential utility as a therapeutic target or biomarker. Advances in biotechnology also facilitate the development of CD43-based therapeutics, such as monoclonal antibodies, that may enhance immune responses against tumors or modulate inflammation in autoimmune conditions. These ongoing studies highlight the importance of CD43 in the immune system and its relevance in both fundamental research and clinical applications.
