简介
Syndecan-2 Protein is a transmembrane (type I) heparan sulfate proteoglycan and is a member of the syndecan proteoglycan family. Syndecan-2 functions as an integral membrane protein and participates in cell proliferation, cell migration and cell-matrix interactions via its receptor for extracellular matrix proteins. Syndecan-2 is necessary for tumor angiogenesis that facilitates tumor growth and metastasis. Syndecan-2 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Syndecan-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Syndecan-2 is a member of the syndecan family of transmembrane heparan sulfate proteoglycans, playing crucial roles in cell signaling, adhesion, and the regulation of extracellular matrix interactions. Its expression is notably associated with various physiological processes, including wound healing, angiogenesis, and tumor progression. The interest in recombinant Syndecan-2 proteins has surged due to their potential therapeutic applications, particularly in the context of cancer, where they may influence tumor growth and metastasis. Additionally, Syndecan-2 is implicated in various diseases, such as fibrosis and cardiovascular disorders, making it a target for drug development. Recombinant forms of this protein, often produced through advanced biotechnological methods, allow for detailed studies of its functional properties and interactions with other cellular components. These studies are expected to enhance our understanding of Syndecan-2's roles in health and disease, paving the way for novel therapeutic strategies that could harness its biological functions for improved clinical outcomes.
