  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

BCAM (Basal Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in various physiological and pathological processes, including cell migration, tissue development, and immune responses. It is primarily expressed in endothelial and epithelial tissues and is involved in maintaining tissue integrity and function. Research has shown that BCAM is implicated in several diseases, such as cancer, where its expression levels can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Given its significance, BCAM has gained attention as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on the recombinant expression of BCAM to better understand its structure-function relationships and to develop potential applications in targeted therapies. Through reconstitution of BCAM in various expression systems, researchers aim to produce functional proteins for further investigation into their interactions with other cellular components. This research could provide insights into the mechanisms by which BCAM contributes to disease processes, ultimately leading to the development of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, particularly in oncology and inflammatory diseases. As the scientific community continues to unravel the complex roles of BCAM, the potential for exploiting its properties for medical advancements remains a promising area of study.
