简介
The CEACAM6 protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that promotes calcium- and fibronectin-independent cell-cell adhesion and mediates homo- and heterosexual interactions with other carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecules. CEACAM6 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived CEACAM6 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-10*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CEACAM6 (carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 6) is a glycoprotein that is part of the CEACAM family, primarily expressed in epithelial tissues and associated with several physiological and pathological processes, including cell adhesion, immune response, and tumor progression. Elevated levels of CEACAM6 have been implicated in various cancers, particularly lung and colorectal cancers, where it contributes to tumor growth, metastasis, and immune evasion. Given its role in tumor biology, CEACAM6 has emerged as a potential biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis, as well as a target for therapeutic interventions. Research into the recombinant protein of CEACAM6 aims to better understand its structural and functional properties, which could facilitate the development of targeted therapies, diagnostic tools, and vaccines. The production of CEACAM6 recombinant protein using expression systems such as bacteria or mammalian cells allows for detailed studies of its biological activity and interactions with other molecules, providing insights into its role in cancer biology. Additionally, the generation of antibodies against CEACAM6 could serve as valuable tools for studying its expression patterns and functions in both normal and malignant tissues, further advancing our understanding of its involvement in cancer development and progression. Therefore, ongoing research into CEACAM6 not only enhances our knowledge of tumor biology but also paves the way for novel clinical applications in oncology.
