The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

DC-SIGN (dendritic cell-specific intercellular adhesion molecule-3-grabbing non-integrin), also known as CD209, is a C-type lectin receptor predominantly expressed on dendritic cells and macrophages. It plays a crucial role in the immune response by recognizing and binding to various pathogens, including viruses and bacteria, facilitating their uptake and subsequent presentation to T cells. Given its involvement in pathogen recognition and the modulation of immune responses, DC-SIGN has garnered significant interest for its potential applications in vaccine development and immunotherapy. Moreover, studies have shown that certain viruses, such as HIV and Ebola, exploit DC-SIGN to enhance their infectivity and evade the host immune system. Research on recombinant DC-SIGN/CD209 proteins aims to elucidate its structural and functional properties, paving the way for the design of targeted therapies and diagnostic tools. Understanding the interactions between DC-SIGN and its ligands, as well as its signaling pathways, could offer insights into strategies for controlling infections and modulating immune responses. The recombinant protein can also serve as a valuable tool in studying various aspects of dendritic cell biology and its implications in health and disease, ultimately contributing to the development of novel therapeutic approaches.
