Analytical Data

  • 基因名

    TIE-2

  • 简介

TIE-2 Protein, a tyrosine-protein kinase, acts as a cell-surface receptor for ANGPT1, ANGPT2, and ANGPT4, exerting comprehensive control over angiogenesis, endothelial cell behavior, and vascular stability. It regulates diverse processes, including endothelial cell survival, proliferation, migration, adhesion, and actin cytoskeleton reorganization, while also playing a crucial role in maintaining vascular quiescence and preventing the leakage of pro-inflammatory plasma proteins and leukocytes from blood vessels. TIE-2 Protein, Rhesus Macaque (HEK293, His) is the recombinant Rhesus Macaque-derived TIE-2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TIE-2, also known as TEK, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in vascular biology and angiogenesis. It is primarily expressed in endothelial cells and is involved in regulating blood vessel formation, permeability, and maintenance. Research into TIE-2 has gained momentum due to its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and inflammatory disorders. Studies have shown that the TIE-2 signaling pathway mediates the effects of angiopoietins (Ang-1 and Ang-2), which are critical for the maturation and stabilization of blood vessels. Dysregulation of TIE-2 has been linked to inadequate blood supply in tumors, making it a potential target for anti-cancer therapies. Moreover, modulating TIE-2 signaling could offer innovative approaches to treat diseases characterized by abnormal angiogenesis, such as diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration. The development of recombinant TIE-2 proteins has allowed researchers to explore the therapeutic potential of enhancing or inhibiting TIE-2 activity in vivo. These studies aim to unravel the molecular mechanisms governing endothelial function and identify potential biomarkers for disease progression, thus paving the way for novel strategies in precision medicine. Consequently, TIE-2 remains a promising focus in the fields of vascular biology and therapeutic intervention, with ongoing research endeavors aimed at developing TIE-2-based treatments that could significantly improve patient outcomes in a variety of diseases.
