Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    E-Selectin/CD62E

  • 简介

E-Selectin/CD62E protein, a cell-surface glycoprotein, mediates the adhesion of blood neutrophils to cytokine-activated endothelium through interaction with SELPLG/PSGL1. It also potentially contributes to capillary morphogenesis and interacts with SELPLG/PSGL1 and PODXL2. These multifaceted interactions highlight E-Selectin's role in cell adhesion and its potential influence on vascular development. E-Selectin/CD62E Protein, Mouse (HEK293, His) is the recombinant mouse-derived E-Selectin/CD62E protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His, C-10*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

E-Selectin, also known as CD62E, is a cell adhesion molecule that plays a crucial role in the inflammatory response and leukocyte trafficking. It is primarily expressed on endothelial cells activated by pro-inflammatory cytokines, facilitating the recruitment of leukocytes to sites of inflammation. Research into E-Selectin has gained significant attention due to its involvement in various pathophysiological conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and chronic inflammatory disorders. The recombinant form of E-Selectin, generated through modern biotechnological methods, allows for detailed studies of its structure, function, and interactions with ligands such as sialyl Lewisx (sLex) carbohydrate, which is crucial for leukocyte rolling and adhesion. By producing and characterizing E-Selectin recombinant proteins, researchers aim to gain insights into its exact role in immune responses, potential therapeutic applications, and the development of anti-inflammatory strategies. Additionally, the study of E-Selectin can aid in the design of novel drug delivery systems and biomaterials that target inflammatory sites, making it a promising area of research in immunology and therapeutic interventions. Overall, the investigation of E-Selectin/CD62E recombinant proteins represents an important aspect of understanding and manipulating immune cell interactions, with broad implications for treating diseases characterized by dysregulated inflammation.
