  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD200, also known as OX-2, is a glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune responses. It is primarily expressed on the surface of neuronal and other cell types, interacting with its receptor, CD200R, found on various immune cells. This interaction is fundamental in the modulation of immune tolerance and the prevention of excessive inflammation. Research has indicated that CD200-CD200R signaling can inhibit the activation of myeloid cells, including macrophages and dendritic cells, promoting an anti-inflammatory environment. The therapeutic potential of CD200 has garnered significant interest, particularly in the context of autoimmune diseases, neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer. Recombinant CD200 protein has been studied to understand its structural and functional properties, leading to insights into its role in immune regulation. Furthermore, the recombinant form of this protein is being explored as a potential therapeutic agent, with the aim of harnessing its immunomodulatory effects to treat various pathologies characterized by dysregulated immune responses. As such, ongoing studies focus on the development of CD200-based therapies, investigating its application in modulating immune responses for improved outcomes in diseases where immune regulation is disrupted. The insights gained from research on CD200 recombinant protein may pave the way for novel strategies in immune modulation, offering new avenues for the treatment of challenging conditions.
