Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LCN6 (Lipocalin 6) is a member of the lipocalin superfamily, which is known for its role in binding small hydrophobic molecules. Recent studies have highlighted its importance in reproductive physiology, particularly in the context of sperm maturation and fertilization processes. LCN6 is predominantly expressed in the male reproductive system, where it is believed to contribute to the formation of the epididymal fluid environment essential for spermatozoa maturation. Additionally, it has been implicated in various physiological processes and potential pathological conditions, including its association with fertility issues. The recombinant expression of LCN6 has garnered significant interest as a means to better understand its structure-function relationships and to explore its potential therapeutic applications. By producing LCN6 as a recombinant protein, researchers can investigate its binding properties, structural characteristics, and interactions with other proteins or molecules within the reproductive system. Understanding the mechanistic roles of LCN6 can provide insights into its biological significance and may lead to novel approaches in treating male infertility or other reproductive health issues. This research not only aims to elucidate the biological functions of LCN6 but also to establish a foundational basis for potential clinical applications by leveraging its properties through recombinant technology.
