Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SEC31A is a crucial component of the COPII complex, playing a key role in the export of proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi apparatus. Understanding SEC31A is significant due to its involvement in cellular transport processes, which are essential for maintaining cellular function and homeostasis. Mutations or malfunctions in SEC31A have been implicated in various diseases, including certain forms of congenital disorders and cancer, highlighting the importance of studying this protein. Recent research has focused on elucidating the structural and functional properties of SEC31A, particularly its interactions with other elements of the COPII machinery and the mechanisms governing its assembly and disassembly during vesicle formation. Investigating SEC31A also provides insights into the broader context of cellular trafficking and the potential for therapeutic interventions targeting these pathways. Researchers employ advanced techniques such as cryo-electron tomography and biochemical assays to dissect the details of SEC31A function, thereby contributing to our understanding of protein transport mechanisms critical for cellular health. This research not only enhances our comprehension of basic biological processes but also paves the way for novel strategies in disease treatment, making SEC31A a significant target for future studies in cell biology and medical research.
