Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ACMSD (amino-cyclopropane-1, 2-dicarboxylic acid synthase) is an enzyme that plays a crucial role in the metabolism of the amino acid L-tryptophan, connecting it to the kynurenine pathway and influencing various biological processes, including neurodegeneration and immune response. Its function revolves around the synthesis of kynurenic acid, a neuroprotective compound that also has implications in psychiatric disorders. Research into recombinant ACMSD has gained momentum due to the enzyme's potential therapeutic applications, particularly in neurology and psychiatry. By producing ACMSD in a recombinant form, scientists aim to better understand its structural and functional properties, which could lead to novel treatments for diseases associated with tryptophan metabolism. The recombinant technology allows for large-scale production and purification of ACMSD, facilitating detailed studies of its enzymatic mechanisms, substrate specificity, and interaction with inhibitors. This research not only enhances our understanding of ACMSD's biological roles but also paves the way for innovative therapeutic strategies for conditions like Alzheimer's disease and depression, highlighting the enzyme's significance in both fundamental biochemistry and clinical applications.
