简介
IL-6R alpha is a subunit alpha of IL-6 receptors, also shared by other interleukin receptors. IL-6R alpha acts as IL-6 agonist and involves in JAK/STAT, MAPK, and Akt signaling pathway[1][2]. IL-6R alpha, Rhesus Macaque consists of 365 amino acids (M1-P365) and is produced in HEK293 cells with a C-Terminal His-tag.

Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human rhesus IL-6R is immobilized at 10 µg/mL (100 µL/well) can bind Biotinylated Recombinant Human IL6 . The ED50 for this effect is 73.24 ng/mL. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-6 receptor alpha (IL-6RA) plays a pivotal role in the IL-6 signaling pathway, which is crucial for various physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, immune response, and hematopoiesis. Elevated levels of IL-6 and its receptor have been implicated in several diseases, particularly autoimmune disorders, chronic inflammatory conditions, and even cancers. Consequently, IL-6RA has garnered significant attention as a therapeutic target for drug development. The research into recombinant IL-6RA proteins serves multiple purposes: they can be utilized in basic science to elucidate IL-6 signal transduction mechanisms, to develop novel therapeutic agents or as biomarkers for disease progression and treatment response. Additionally, recombinant IL-6RA proteins can be employed in preclinical and clinical studies to explore their potential in modulating the inflammatory response. By inhibiting IL-6 signaling, these engineered proteins may provide relief in patients with hyper-inflammatory conditions. Given the growing understanding of the role of IL-6 and its receptor in various diseases, research into IL-6RA recombinant proteins not only contributes to a deeper understanding of its biological function but also heralds advances in therapeutic strategies aimed at mitigating the detrimental effects of excessive IL-6 signaling. This research has broad implications for the treatment of diverse conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, and other chronic inflammatory disorders, making it a highly relevant area within the fields of immunology and pharmacology.
