Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of Gba2 recombinant protein is rooted in the growing understanding of the role of glucocerebrosidase enzymes in human health and disease. Glucocerebrosidase, encoded by the GBA gene, is crucial for the metabolism of glucocerebroside, a lipid that accumulates in certain lysosomal storage disorders, notably Gaucher disease. While GBA has been extensively researched, GBA2, which arises from a different gene, also plays a significant role in lipid metabolism and is implicated in various physiological processes. Recent studies have suggested that alterations in GBA2 activity may be linked to neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's disease, further highlighting its importance. By producing recombinant Gba2 protein, researchers aim to investigate its enzymatic properties, substrate specificity, and potential therapeutic applications. Understanding the structure and function of Gba2 could pave the way for novel treatment strategies for related disorders, offering insights into lipid metabolism's role in neurodegeneration and other diseases. As Gba2 is less characterized compared to its counterpart GBA, this research holds potential for uncovering new biological pathways and improving disease management.
