Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NirS (nitrite reductase) is an enzyme critical for the denitrification process, which involves the reduction of nitrite to nitric oxide, eventually leading to the conversion of nitrogen compounds into inert nitrogen gas. This biological pathway plays a pivotal role in the nitrogen cycle, significantly influencing soil fertility and greenhouse gas emissions. The study of NirS is particularly important due to its implications for environmental sustainability and its potential applications in bioremediation. By understanding the structural and functional characteristics of NirS, researchers aim to gain insights into its catalytic mechanisms and regulatory processes. Recombinant expression of NirS allows for the production of the enzyme in sufficient quantities for detailed biochemical analysis and structural studies. These studies contribute to our comprehension of denitrification pathways in various ecosystems and help in the development of strategies to manage nitrogen pollution. Furthermore, exploring the variations in NirS among different microbial communities can illuminate the ecological roles these enzymes play in various environmental contexts, thus enhancing our knowledge about microbial interactions and their responses to anthropogenic disturbances.
