简介
CXCL10, also known as interferon γ-induced protein 10 kDa (IP-10), is a cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL10 exerts its biological effects by binding to CXCR3. CXCL10 is a pleiotropic molecule capable of exerting potent biological functions, including promoting the chemotactic activity of CXCR3+ cells, inducing apoptosis, regulating cell growth and proliferation as well as angiogenesis in infectious and inflammatory diseases and cancer[1]. IP-10/CXCL10 Protein, Rat (P.pastoris, His) is produced in P.pastoris with a C-Terminal His-tag. It consists of 77 amino acids (I22-P98).

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IP-10, also known as CXCL10, is a chemokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that plays a pivotal role in immune responses and inflammation. It is primarily secreted by activated T cells, monocytes, and fibroblasts in response to various stimuli, including pro-inflammatory cytokines like IFN-γ. The significance of IP-10 lies in its ability to attract immune cells, particularly CXCR3-positive T cells, to sites of inflammation and infection, thus mediating the body's defense mechanisms. Research has shown that elevated levels of IP-10 are associated with various diseases, including autoimmune disorders, chronic viral infections, and certain cancers, making it a potential biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic response. Furthermore, IP-10 is the focus of ongoing studies investigating its therapeutic potential; recombinant IP-10/CXCL10 proteins are being explored for their roles in enhancing antitumor immunity and modulating inflammatory responses. Understanding the structure and function of IP-10, as well as developing effective recombinant forms, may provide new insights into immune modulation and open avenues for novel therapeutic strategies in treating diseases characterized by dysregulated immune responses. The continuous exploration of IP-10's biology and its applications holds promise for improving clinical outcomes in various pathologies, underscoring the importance of this chemokine in both fundamental and applied biomedical research.
