Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALKBH2 (AlkB homolog 2) is an important dioxygenase involved in the repair of oxidative DNA damage, particularly 1-methyladenosine (m1A) lesions, which can disrupt normal cellular processes and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Characterized as part of the AlkB family of proteins, ALKBH2 plays a critical role in maintaining RNA integrity and regulating gene expression by demethylating modified nucleotides. Its implications in epitranscriptomics highlight the enzyme's potential influence on RNA stability, translation efficiency, and overall cellular function. Research surrounding recombinant ALKBH2 protein focuses on elucidating its structural and functional properties, enabling scientists to better understand its enzymatic mechanisms and substrate specificity. Additionally, studying the overexpression and purification of ALKBH2 can facilitate the development of therapeutic approaches targeting its dysregulation in disease contexts. The recombinant protein is also pivotal for in vitro assays investigating its interaction with RNA substrates and other cellular factors, thereby providing insights into the broader roles of RNA modifications in cellular physiology and pathology. The advancement of techniques to study ALKBH2 can further enhance our comprehension of RNA metabolism and its implications for disease mechanisms, paving the way for innovative strategies in diagnosis and treatment.
