简介
Nectin-1 Protein mediates cell-cell contacts through homophilic or heterophilic trans-dimer formation, engaging in heterophilic interactions with Nectin-3 and Nectin-4. It also promotes neurite outgrowth. In microbial infection, Nectin-1 serves as a receptor for herpes simplex virus 1 (HHV-1), herpes simplex virus 2 (HHV-2), and pseudorabies virus (PRV). Nectin-1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived Nectin-1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Nectin-1, also known as CD111, is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays a crucial role in cell adhesion and immune responses. It is primarily expressed in epithelial cells and acts as a receptor for various viruses, including herpes simplex virus and mumps virus, highlighting its significance in virology and infection mechanisms. Research has shown that Nectin-1 is involved in the formation of adherens junctions, which are essential for maintaining tissue integrity and regulating cellular signaling pathways. Furthermore, Nectin-1’s expression is modulated in various pathological conditions, including cancers, where it can influence tumor progression and metastasis. Therefore, the recombinant protein of Nectin-1/CD111 has garnered attention for its potential applications in therapeutic interventions and vaccine development. The study of this protein can offer insights into mechanisms of viral entry, cellular communication, and the modulation of immune responses. Recombinant Nectin-1 is being investigated for its utility in drug delivery systems, immunotherapy strategies, and as a biomarker for cancer diagnostics, making it a focal point in current biomedical research. Understanding the structure and function of Nectin-1/CD111 can pave the way for innovative approaches in treating viral infections and malignancies, thereby contributing to advancements in medical science.
