Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    Integrin alpha 10 beta 1

  • 简介

Integrin α-10/β-1 is a collagen-specific receptor that plays a crucial role in mediating cell interactions with the extracellular matrix. It consists of alpha-10 and beta-1 subunits, which stably associate to form a heterodimeric complex. Integrin alpha 10 beta 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived Integrin alpha 10 beta 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag. Integrin alpha 10 beta 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His), has molecular weight of 140-160 kDa (ITGA10) & 100-130 kDa (ITGB), respectively.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Integrin alpha 10 beta 1 is a critical receptor involved in various cellular processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and signaling. It primarily interacts with extracellular matrix (ECM) components, playing a significant role in tissue development and repair. Research has shown that this integrin is particularly important in the context of cartilage and bone, where it contributes to the maintenance of the structural integrity of these tissues. Abnormalities in integrin alpha 10 beta 1 expression or function have been linked to a range of pathological conditions, including osteoarthritis and other related bone disorders. The study of recombinant integrin alpha 10 beta 1 protein is essential for understanding its molecular mechanisms and biological functions. By producing this recombinant protein in laboratory settings, researchers can explore its interactions with ECM components and other signaling pathways. This knowledge could lead to the development of targeted therapies for diseases associated with integrin malfunctions. Additionally, the generation of monoclonal antibodies against this integrin could provide valuable tools for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. As such, the research surrounding integrin alpha 10 beta 1 not only enhances our understanding of cell-matrix interactions but also holds potential for clinical advancements in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering.
