简介
ITGA5 is a multifunctional receptor that interacts with multiple ligands such as fibronectin, fibrinogen, PLA2G2A, fibrillin-1 (FBN1), IL1B, human metapneumovirus, and soluble CD40LG. ITGA5 recognizes RGD sequences and mediates cell adhesion through different binding sites. Integrin alpha 5 beta 1 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His-Avi) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived Integrin alpha 5 beta 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-Avi, C-His labeled tag. Integrin alpha 5 beta 1 Protein, Human (Biotinylated, HEK293, His-Avi), has molecular weight of 110-140 kDa.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Integrin alpha 5 beta 1 is a vital member of the integrin family, functioning as a cell surface receptor that mediates cell-extracellular matrix (ECM) interactions, particularly by binding to fibronectin. This receptor plays a critical role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, differentiation, and tissue development. Research has shown that integrin alpha 5 beta 1 is involved in several pathological conditions, such as cancer metastasis, fibrosis, and wound healing. The dysregulation of this integrin can lead to impaired cellular functions and contribute to disease progression. Consequently, recombinant integrin alpha 5 beta 1 has garnered significant interest as both a research tool and a potential therapeutic target. The ability to produce this protein in a recombinant form allows for detailed structural and functional studies, facilitating a deeper understanding of its role in various cellular processes. Additionally, it opens up avenues for the development of integrin-based therapies, including the design of integrin antagonists that could inhibit tumor progression or enhance tissue regeneration. Understanding the precise mechanisms by which integrin alpha 5 beta 1 operates will not only shed light on fundamental biological processes but also contribute to the advancement of targeted therapies in regenerative medicine and oncology. Researchers are focusing on characterizing this integrin's interactions and signaling pathways, emphasizing its potential as a biomarker for disease prognosis and a target for innovative treatment strategies.
