Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FADS3, or fatty acid desaturase 3, is an essential enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), which are crucial for various physiological functions, including membrane structure, inflammation regulation, and signaling pathways. Emerging research has highlighted its potential role in metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases, as alterations in fatty acid composition can significantly impact health. The investigation of FADS3 recombinant proteins has gained momentum due to their potential applications in therapeutic strategies and nutritional interventions. Understanding the structure and function of FADS3, specifically its desaturation activity and substrate specificity, has important implications for enhancing PUFA production in model organisms and developing functional foods. Furthermore, recombinant FADS3 can be utilized in studies that seek to elucidate the regulation of fatty acid metabolism and its association with health conditions, paving the way for novel approaches in treating obesity, diabetes, and other related diseases. By employing advanced biotechnological methods for the expression and purification of FADS3, researchers aim to characterize its enzymatic properties, enabling the exploration of its mechanisms and interactions within metabolic pathways. This research not only contributes to the fundamental understanding of lipid metabolism but also holds promise for advancing therapeutic interventions that target fatty acid dysregulation in various disorders.
