  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MCP-5, also known as CCL12, is a chemokine belonging to the CC (C-C) subfamily that plays a crucial role in immune responses and inflammation. It is primarily involved in the recruitment of monocytes and other immune cells to sites of tissue injury and inflammation. Research on MCP-5/CCL12 has gained importance due to its potential implications in various pathological conditions, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and chronic inflammatory disorders. Elevated levels of MCP-5/CCL12 have been linked to disease progression and severity, making it a target for therapeutic intervention. Scientists have focused on producing recombinant MCP-5/CCL12 protein to study its biological functions, signaling pathways, and potential as a biomarker for disease. Recombinant proteins enable the detailed investigation of MCP-5/CCL12 in vitro and in vivo, thus facilitating the understanding of its role in the immune response. Additionally, insights gained from MCP-5/CCL12 studies can pave the way for developing novel therapies aimed at modulating immune responses in various diseases, highlighting its significance in both basic and clinical research.
