简介
SMOC1 Protein is a matricellular protein that interferes with growth factor receptor signalling. SMOC1 Protein plays essential roles in both eye and limb development and is a regulator of osteoblast differentiation. SMOC1 Protein, Human (408a.a, HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived SMOC1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SMOC1 (SPARC-related modular calcium binding protein 1) is a member of the SPARC family, known for its role in extracellular matrix interactions and cellular signaling. Researchers have become increasingly interested in SMOC1 due to its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, including tissue development, wound healing, and cancer progression. Evidence suggests that SMOC1 regulates cellular behaviors by modulating cell adhesion, migration, and proliferation, making it a potential biomarker for certain diseases. The recombinant expression of SMOC1 protein allows for detailed studies of its structural and functional characteristics. By producing SMOC1 in a controlled environment, researchers can investigate its interactions with other proteins and its impact on cellular pathways. Furthermore, the exploration of SMOC1’s roles in specific diseases could pave the way for novel therapeutic approaches. As understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying SMOC1 function advances, it may contribute valuable insights into tissue regeneration and tumor biology, highlighting its significance as a target for future biomedical research and potential therapeutic interventions.
