  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

RBP7 (Retinol-Binding Protein 7) is an intriguing member of the retinol-binding protein family, playing a significant role in the transport of retinoids in the body. Its involvement in various physiological processes, including vision, reproduction, and cellular differentiation, highlights its biological importance. Research has suggested that RBP7 is not only crucial for the delivery of retinol to target tissues but also participates in the regulation of gene expression through its binding interactions with nuclear receptors. This has led to interest in RBP7 as a potential therapeutic target, particularly in diseases linked to retinoid metabolism and signaling, such as certain cancers and metabolic disorders. To further our understanding of RBP7's function and its mechanisms, recombinant RBP7 proteins are being produced for biochemical analyses. These studies are designed to elucidate the structural and functional properties of RBP7, including its ligand binding capacity and interaction with various cellular components. The insights gained from such research could pave the way for novel interventions and treatments leveraging retinoid pathways. Thus, the study of RBP7 and its recombinant forms is positioned at the nexus of molecular biology and therapeutic development, promising to expand the current knowledge of retinoid biology and its implications in health and disease.
