Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of CSAD (Cysteine Sulfinic Acid Decarboxylase) recombinant protein has gained significant attention due to its critical role in the synthesis of the neurotransmitter taurine, which is essential for various physiological functions, including osmoregulation, neurotransmission, and calcium signaling. CSAD catalyzes the decarboxylation of cysteine sulfinic acid to produce hypotaurine, the immediate precursor of taurine. Dysfunction or deficiency of CSAD has been implicated in several neurological disorders, highlighting the importance of understanding this enzyme's structure, function, and regulation. The use of recombinant DNA technology allows for the production of high quantities of CSAD protein, facilitating detailed biochemical and structural studies. Researchers aim to elucidate the enzyme's mechanism of action, its kinetic properties, and its interaction with other metabolic pathways. Furthermore, insights gained from CSAD studies could lead to the development of therapeutic strategies targeting taurine-related disorders, making it a promising area of research in neurobiology and metabolic science.
