ENPP-7

简介
The ENPP-7 protein is a choline-specific phosphodiesterase that plays multiple roles in sphingomyelin digestion, ceramide formation, and fatty acid absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. It hydrolyzes sphingomyelin, releases ceramide and phosphocholine, and promotes the breakdown of sphingomyelin. ENPP-7 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived ENPP-7 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ENPP-7 (ectonucleotide pyrophosphatase/phosphodiesterase family member 7) is a member of the ENPP family of enzymes, which are known to play significant roles in various biological processes, including nucleotide metabolism and cellular signaling. Research on ENPP-7 has gained interest due to its potential involvement in regulating cellular phosphate levels and its implications in various diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders. This enzyme is primarily expressed in human tissues, with notable activity in the brain and gastrointestinal tract, suggesting its role in neurobiology and digestive health. Current studies have focused on understanding the structural characteristics of ENPP-7 and its enzymatic mechanisms, with the aim of elucidating its functional roles in health and disease. Furthermore, the development of recombinant ENPP-7 proteins has opened avenues for detailed biochemical assays and potential therapeutic applications. By generating and characterizing these recombinant proteins, researchers hope to provide insights into the regulation of phosphate metabolism and understand the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying related disorders, ultimately contributing to the advancement of targeted therapies.
