  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TCTP (Tumor Protein 1) and its homolog TPT1 (Translationally Controlled Tumor Protein 1) are highly conserved proteins found in various organisms, playing crucial roles in cellular processes such as cell growth, survival, and differentiation. Initially identified in tumor cells, TCTP has garnered attention due to its overexpression in various cancers, suggesting a significant role in tumor progression and metastasis. Studies have implicated TCTP in the regulation of the cell cycle, anti-apoptotic signaling, and the modulation of stress responses, positioning it as a potential target for therapeutic intervention. Additionally, TCTP has been linked to allergic responses and other physiological processes, reflecting its versatility in human health and disease. The recombinant expression of TCTP/TPT1 has facilitated investigations into its structural properties and functional mechanisms, enabling researchers to explore its interactions with other cellular molecules. As an emerging biomarker and therapeutic target, TCTP/TPT1 continues to be the focus of extensive research, aiming to unravel its complex roles in cancer biology and other conditions, ultimately contributing to the development of novel treatment strategies.
