简介
Carbonic Anhydrase 11 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is an approximately 38.0 kDa carbonic anhydrase 11 protein with a His-flag. Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are found in many organisms, in which they contribute to several important biological processes[1].

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Carbonic Anhydrase 11 (CA11) is an enzyme belonging to the carbonic anhydrase family, playing a crucial role in the regulation of carbon dioxide and bicarbonate levels in biological systems. This enzyme catalyzes the reversible conversion of carbon dioxide and water to bicarbonate and protons, a process essential for maintaining acid-base balance, facilitating respiration, and influencing various physiological functions. CA11 is primarily expressed in the brain, suggesting a significant role in neurophysiological processes, including synaptic transmission and neuronal metabolism. Research has indicated that alterations in CA11 activity may be associated with neurological disorders and other pathologies. The expression of recombinant CA11 protein has become a focal point for understanding its enzymatic mechanisms and potential therapeutic applications. By producing and characterizing CA11 in a recombinant system, researchers aim to elucidate its structure-function relationship, investigate its interactions with other biomolecules, and explore its potential as a drug target or biomarker. Such studies could pave the way for novel treatment strategies for diseases where CA11 is implicated, further underscoring the importance of this enzyme in both health and disease.
