  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

ApoA-IV (Apolipoprotein A-IV) is a significant protein primarily synthesized in the small intestine and is involved in lipid metabolism, particularly in the transport and clearance of lipids in the bloodstream. It plays a crucial role in the regulation of cholesterol and triglyceride levels and has been implicated in various metabolic processes, including appetite regulation and inflammation. Research has shown that ApoA-IV possesses neuroprotective properties and may influence cognitive functions, thus attracting interest in its potential therapeutic applications for neurodegenerative diseases. Moreover, studying ApoA-IV recombinant protein serves not only to elucidate its biological role but also to explore its potential as a biomarker for cardiovascular diseases. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have allowed for the production of ApoA-IV in various systems, facilitating studies on its structure-function relationships and interactions with lipids and receptors. As cardiovascular diseases and metabolic disorders continue to rise globally, understanding the intricacies of ApoA-IV through recombinant proteins could lead to the development of novel therapeutic strategies and interventions to improve health outcomes related to dyslipidemia and other related conditions.
