  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Annexin A5 (ANXA5) is a member of the annexin family of proteins, which are characterized by their ability to bind phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. This protein plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including apoptosis, cell signaling, and membrane trafficking. Among its multifaceted functions, ANXA5 is notably involved in the inhibition of coagulation and the protection of cells from apoptotic stimuli, making it a significant player in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Researchers have demonstrated that ANXA5 has potential as a biomarker for various diseases, including cancer, where its expression often correlates with tumor progression and metastasis. Moreover, the elucidation of ANXA5’s mechanisms has been facilitated by the generation of recombinant ANXA5 proteins, which allow for detailed in vitro studies regarding its structural and functional properties. These recombinant proteins have become invaluable tools for investigating the therapeutic potential of ANXA5, particularly in drug delivery systems and as therapeutic agents that modulate cell death pathways. As such, ongoing research aims to harness the unique properties of ANXA5 to develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for a range of pathologies, emphasizing its relevance in both basic and translational biomedical research.
