  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

AIF1, or Allograft Inflammatory Factor 1, is a protein that plays a significant role in the immune response, particularly in macrophage activation and inflammation. Initially identified in the context of allograft rejection, AIF1 has garnered attention for its involvement in various pathological conditions, including autoimmune diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Research has demonstrated that AIF1 is upregulated in inflammatory conditions and is associated with the polarization of macrophages towards a pro-inflammatory phenotype. Its ability to regulate cell migration and survival further complicates its role in inflammation and tissue repair. The recombinant expression of AIF1 as a fusion protein has facilitated studies aimed at elucidating its functional mechanisms and interactions at the molecular level. By producing AIF1 in a recombinant form, researchers can assess its impact on immune cell behavior and explore potential therapeutic applications, such as targeting AIF1 for modulating immune responses. Understanding the precise biological functions of AIF1 and its signaling pathways could provide insights into developing novel strategies for treating inflammation-related diseases and improving transplant outcomes. Overall, AIF1 remains a key focus for researchers interested in the interplay between immunity and inflammation, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target in diverse medical fields.
