Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    PIST

  • 简介

PIST (PDZ domain-containing protein that interacts with Stx6) is critical in intracellular protein trafficking and degradation. It modulates CFTR chloride currents and acid-induced ASIC3 currents, thereby potentially regulating their cell surface expression. PIST Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived PIST protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Site-directed mutagenesis Custom tag design Custom buffer formulation Custom full-length protein production

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The study of PIST (protein interacting with C-kinase 1) recombinant proteins has garnered significant attention due to their pivotal role in various cellular processes. PIST is a member of the homologous family of PDZ domain-containing proteins, which are integral to the formation of protein complexes that regulate signal transduction pathways, especially in response to receptor activation. Research has shown that PIST is involved in scaffolding, anchoring proteins within specific cellular locations, and mediating interactions between different signaling molecules. Additionally, its dysregulation has been implicated in several diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a crucial target for therapeutic intervention. The development of recombinant PIST proteins allows for a deeper understanding of its structure-function relationships and its interactions with other cellular proteins. By utilizing advanced techniques like recombinant DNA technology and protein expression systems, researchers can produce large quantities of PIST for biochemical assays, structural studies, and potential drug development. Overall, the investigation of PIST recombinant proteins not only enhances our comprehension of fundamental biological mechanisms but also opens avenues for innovative therapeutic strategies.
