Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    T-PA

  • 简介

The T-PA protein converts the inactive plasminogen to active plasmin by hydrolyzing a single Arg-Val bond. This conversion regulates plasmin-mediated proteolysis and is involved in tissue remodeling, degradation, and cell migration.T-PA also contributes to the prevention of polyspermy during oocyte activation by participating in the cortical granule reaction.T-PA Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant mouse-derived T-PA protein, expressed by HEK293 , with N-hFc labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Tissue Plasminogen Activator (T-PA) is a serine protease produced by endothelial cells, playing a crucial role in the fibrinolytic system by converting plasminogen into plasmin, which digests fibrin and facilitates clot breakdown. The study of T-PA gained momentum in the 1980s when its therapeutic potential for treating thrombotic disorders, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, became apparent. Scientists began exploring the possibility of recombinant T-PA, allowing for large-scale production and more efficient treatment protocols. The introduction of recombinant DNA technology enabled the expression of the T-PA gene in various host cells, significantly advancing our understanding of its structure and function. Over the years, numerous studies have focused on optimizing the production and efficacy of T-PA, leading to the development of modified versions with improved pharmacokinetics and reduced side effects. This research has established T-PA as a gold standard in thrombolytic therapy. Furthermore, ongoing investigations into its biological properties and potential applications beyond thrombolysis, including implications in cancer therapy and wound healing, continue to expand the horizons of T-PA research, making it a pivotal protein in both clinical and biomedical studies.
