简介
ICA1 may be involved in neurotransmitter secretion, suggesting involvement in synaptic transmission. It may help regulate the release of neurotransmitters, a key aspect of neuronal communication. Islet cell autoantigen 1/ICA1, Human (P.pastoris, His) is the recombinant human-derived Islet cell autoantigen 1/ICA1, expressed by P. pastoris , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Islet cell autoantigen 1 (ICA1), also known as ICA512 or SYP, is a protein that plays a crucial role in the autoimmune process leading to type 1 diabetes (T1D). It is primarily expressed in pancreatic islet cells and is recognized as a major autoantigen targeted by the immune system in individuals predisposed to T1D. Research on ICA1 has been instrumental in understanding the pathogenesis of diabetes, as the presence of ICA1 autoantibodies is one of the earliest indicators of beta-cell autoimmunity. The generation of recombinant ICA1 protein has facilitated extensive studies into its structure, function, and the specific immune responses it elicits. This recombinant protein can be used to ascertain the immune response profiles in T1D patients, aiding in the development of potential immunotherapies or preventative strategies. Insights gained from ICA1 research may lead to novel approaches in diagnosing and treating autoimmune diabetes, as well as improving our understanding of the underlying mechanisms that trigger the loss of insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas.
