简介
FANCC Protein repairs and maintains DNA, aids in STAT1 activation, and forms a multisubunit FA complex. It interacts with ZBTB32, STAT1, CDK1, and EIF2AK2. The FA complex excludes FA patients and may include HSP70, while interaction with EIF2AK2 leads to increased activation and cell death. FANCC Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived FANCC protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His, N-SUMO labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FANCC (Fanconi anemia complementation group C) is a critical protein involved in the Fanconi anemia pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability and responding to DNA damage. Fanconi anemia is a rare genetic disorder characterized by the inability to repair DNA interstrand cross-links, leading to increased susceptibility to cancers and bone marrow failure. Mutations in the FANCC gene, which is located on chromosome 9, are one of the most common causes of this disorder. Research has focused on characterizing the structure and function of FANCC to understand its role in the DNA repair process and the underlying mechanisms of Fanconi anemia. Recombination assays, protein interaction studies, and structural analyses are among the techniques employed to elucidate how FANCC interacts with other proteins in the Fanconi anemia pathway. Furthermore, studying its role in the cellular response to DNA damage not only enhances our understanding of Fanconi anemia but also sheds light on broader implications for cancer biology, particularly in the context of therapies targeting DNA repair pathways. Additionally, recombinant production of FANCC has facilitated detailed investigations into its biochemical properties, paving the way for potential therapeutic strategies aimed at correcting the underlying genetic defects in patients suffering from this disorder. Overall, the study of FANCC and its associated pathways is crucial in advancing our knowledge of DNA repair mechanisms and their implications for cancer research and treatment.
