Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    TGFBR1/ALK-5

  • 简介

TGFBR1 is a transmembrane kinase that cooperates with TGFBR2 to form the TGF-β receptor complex. This complex is activated by cytokines and regulates a variety of processes, including cell cycle arrest, mesenchymal cell control, wound healing, and carcinogenesis.TGFBR1/ALK-5 Protein, Mouse (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant mouse-derived TGFBR1/ALK-5 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

  • Application

    SPRMSTBLIITCELISACELL ASSAYDRUG SCREENING

  • Biological Activity

Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human TGF-beta RII is immobilized at 1 μg/mL (100 μL/well), it binds Recombinant Human TGF-beta RI in the presence of TGF-beta 1. The concentration of rhTGF-beta RI that produces 50% of the optimal binding response is approximately 0.835 μg/mL. Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

TGFBR1 (Transforming Growth Factor Beta Receptor 1) and ALK-5 (Activin Like Kinase 5) are critical components of the TGF-β signaling pathway, which plays a vital role in numerous cellular processes, including proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Dysregulation of this pathway is implicated in various diseases, including fibrosis, cancer, and cardiovascular disorders. The study of TGFBR1/ALK-5 recombinant proteins aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of TGF-β signaling and its downstream effects. Researchers are particularly interested in the receptor's structure, function, and interactions with ligands, as well as how mutations or aberrant expression may contribute to pathological conditions. Utilizing recombinant protein technology enables the production of these receptors in controlled laboratory settings, facilitating functional assays, structural studies, and drug discovery efforts. By understanding the exact role of TGFBR1/ALK-5 in cellular processes, scientists hope to identify potential therapeutic targets for diseases associated with TGF-β signaling dysregulation, ultimately leading to the development of innovative treatments that could ameliorate or even reverse the effects of these diseases.
