简介
Activin A receptor, type I (ACVR1), also known as ALK-2, is a bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) type I receptor. ACVR1 is involved in a wide variety of biological processes, including bone, heart, cartilage, nervous, and reproductive system development and regulation[1]. Activin RIA Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is produced in HEK293 cells with a C-Terminal Fc-tag. It consists of 102 amino acids (D23-V124).
- Application
-
Biological Activity
Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When Recombinant Human BMP-6 is used at 0.25 μg/mL can bind Human Activin RIA. The ED50 for this effect is 4.46 μg/mL. Measured in a cell proliferation assay using HuH-7 cells. The ED50 for this effect is 2.516 ng/mL, corresponding to a specific activity is 3.97×105 units/mg.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Activin RIA (also known as ACVR1A) is a receptor that plays a crucial role in the TGF-beta superfamily signaling pathways, influencing various biological processes such as embryonic development, cell differentiation, and tissue homeostasis. Mutations or dysregulations in Activin RIA have been linked to several disorders, including fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva (FOP), characterized by abnormal ossification of soft tissues. As a result, the study and production of recombinant Activin RIA protein have gained significant interest in the fields of molecular biology and therapeutic development. Recombinant Activin RIA protein is essential for elucidating the receptor's functional mechanisms and its interactions with ligands, as well as for screening potential drug candidates targeting related signaling pathways. Furthermore, understanding the structure and dynamics of Activin RIA can aid in identifying novel therapeutic strategies for conditions arising from its aberrant signaling. The advancements in recombinant protein technology, including expression systems and purification methods, facilitate the study of Activin RIA, thereby providing insights that could lead to innovative treatments for related diseases. Overall, the research on Activin RIA recombinant protein not only furthers our comprehension of fundamental biological processes but also holds promise for the development of targeted therapies in regenerative medicine and beyond.
